Bandana Technique Meets Flourishing Paisley & Posies

When I got my first sneak peek of the new Holiday Catalogue in August, I knew straight away that I NEEDED to order the stamp set Paisleys & Posies – not because I am a paisley fan, but because there were two special instructors in my life that I wanted to make a card for using one of the sentiments – I ordered the set 2 months ago, but only just gave them their cards this last week, definitely in catch up mode!

I think my watermark may have obscured some of the sentiment, but if you are optically challenged the sentiment reads “I thank you for your part in my journey”. I took the colours and technique from a few years ago and updated it with new in colours (if you haven’t done the bandana technique you can see a step by step of it here from umm 4 years ago – not sure where that time went). I love this technique as it’s so personal, each card is unique depending upon the sponging and white chalk pen highlights – the chalk pen is more transparent than the original white gel pen that I used in the original post, but I just go over each dot or line twice and it seems to come out fine.
