Faux metal technique

Here’s a super fun technique that doesn’t require any new toys to do it! It’s called faux metal and I did it using the traditional colours, Crumb Cake on the textured embossing folder, sponging with Marina Mist & Always Artichoke and then finishing off with a light sponging of Early Expresso before adding gold embossing powder.

I love the final effect, the more random and varied the ink application at each layer the better the finished result in my personal opinion. I will be re-doing this technique using Rose Red instead if the Marina Mist as I think that would be a nice combination.

Stamps: Word Play

Ink: Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Early Expresso, Versamark

Card stock: Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Early Expresso
