Blended Bloom sneak peek!

Today was the first day since coming back from the Annual Stampin’ Up! Inspire. Create. Share Event (AKA Convention) that I have had a chance to play with some of the new toys. High on my list was the new Blendabilities (alcohol markers) that are coming – now I tried these at the product playground at Convention and I’m not sure if it was just because they were new to me, I was surrounded by lots of people and was rushing or the image we got to use there was little, but well basically my colouring was rubbish. Fortunately there was an all attendee giveaway in the last session that included a pack of the new markers in Calypso Coral and a new stamp called Blended Bloom and I wasn’t about to let new toys sit untouched for too long. So last night even though I didn’t have the Memento ink (it’s in my order that will ship this week) I Versamarked the image, then stamped it straight into Soft Suede Classic ink and clear embossed the image on Whisper White card stock before colouring.

I experimented with colouring the petals light to dark, then dark to light, I also don’t have the colour lifter (or should that be shifter?) yet – all my new toys are coming on pre-order so I’m making do with what I have on hand at the moment. I added some Crystal Effects to the centre and petal turn overs. The centre of this one is coloured in So Saffron & Crushed Curry Stampin’ Write markers as I only have the 3 colours of the Calypso Coral in the Blendabilites at the minute. I fussy cut the flower and popped it up on Dimensionals. Did you notice the colour of the rhinestones on the butterfly? That’s right – you can re-colour the basic rhinestones or pearls with the Blendabilities markers – so now absolutely everything colour co-ordinates! The leaves, butterfly and sentiment is from another new stamp set called Kinda Eclectic which I absolutely love – we got it as part of the 2014 Inspire. Create. Share registration.

I can’t wait for my new colours to come so I can practise this new colouring technique a lot more. If you can’t wait to get your hands on the new Blendabilties you can always take up the discounted joining offer and get them as part of your kit – all of the pre-order items for demonstrators are available in the starter kit. For just an $85 outlay you basically get your own craft shop to share with friends, family and more – it’s terrific value for money which you can check out here.

If you haven’t already put your name down for a new catalogue so you can check out Blendabilties and all the other new items – you can reserve a copy here.

Join my Stampin’ Up! family for half price!

DemoHeader_Signandsave_AU

Three blog posts in 6 hours – I know – my head is spinning too!! It is such an exciting time being part of Stampin’ Up! and even more exciting is that you have the opportunity to join my team from now until 30th June for just $85!

That’s almost half the normal price!!

Now really is the best time to join Stampin’ Up! as the new Annual catalogue is released on July 1st and you can not only pre-order select products as part (or all) of your starter kit (you could be one of the first to get the exclusive SU! Project Life items or the new Blendabilities), plus if you join in June you will get a box of new catalogues in your kit as well as a box of the current catalogues.

There are many benefits and reasons for joining SU! and you can read about some of them here or you could call me and we can meet up for a coffee and chat to discuss what would work best for you. You can join to just get a discount, earn enough to get all of your supplies for free, fundraise for a cause or team you are passionate about, earn an income or an overseas trip (if I can do the later then there is no reason you can’t too).

There is still the option of joining with the regular Stampin’ Up! Kit for $169 if your wish list is too long – both options the $85 and $169 kit are 100% customisable – so no getting products that you don’t want or you won’t use!

So what’s the difference with the two kits?

  • The $85 kit will get you $90 worth of products of your choice plus the regular business supplies (catalogues, order forms, invitations etc.) valued at over $80 and 2 months free when you sign up for the Demonstrator Website valued at almost $40
  • The $169 Kit will get you $235 worth of products of your choice plus the regular business supplies  (catalogues, order forms, invitations etc.) valued at over $80 and 2 months free when you sign up for the Demonstrator Website valued at almost $40

You can read more FAQs here or if you are local you are welcome to join our next team meeting on June 12th to see what it is all about and talk to others who love what they do as well.

Ready to join now?  Simply click the button below and get started, all you need is a credit card!

Now maybe, as much as you’d like to be, you aren’t in a position to join my SU! family right now, but you know someone who would like to join. Please contact me and let me know as I love referrals and would also love to reward those who refer new team members to me. If you refer someone and they decide to join my team you will receive a special gift from me when they place their first order as a demonstrator!

National Breast Cancer Foundation Cards for a Cure

Almost all of us have family members, friends and neighbours who have been affected by breast cancer. This widespread disease has touched the lives of members of the Stampin’ Up! family, and contributions to breast cancer research have been an important part of Stampin’ Up!’s philanthropic outreach.

ReadSetSendCards

To that end, Stampin’ Up! has partnered with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to offer the Ready. Set. Send. kit It is a package of 10 handmade cards (five thank you and five birthday cards plus 10 envelopes) that retails for $19 (plus shipping and handling). Stampin’ Up! will donate $10 to NBCF for each kit sold.

Please help me, help others make a difference in striving to find a cure for this insidious disease, I will be donating all of my commissions on this item to the NBCF as well – they make perfect presents for those who are hard to shop for, so think about giving them as gifts this year and make a difference through your spending.

Well I’ve had a ball at the 2014 Inspire Create Share Stampin’ Up! Convention in Melbourne and I will be sharing lots of news and ideas from that event over the next week or so. Right now I want to share a very limited (5 day) offer that is an absolute bargain. From now until May 28th 2014, you can order this Tag A Bag Bundle through me and save yourself 15% off these 4 items which you can order with the wood stamp set for just $62.25 #138102 or clear stamp set for just $58.48 #138103.

This bundle is fantastic value and perfect for complementing your next celebration event – how cute are these gift bags, I can see them showcasing treats, presents and more.

I have also seen some super amazing variations made using this kit e.g. a scrapbook bag album to preserve memories from a special trip or add a pack of 20 notecards and envelopes for $9.95 and make up beautiful packs of greeting cards. You will also have lots of vellum, wash tape and  of course still have the stamp set – so you will be able to keep creating long after the bags have been used.

Cute gift tag punch art for an Octonauts fan

IMG_6379-2

I made this punch art item recently, it was CASEd from a box made by a German demonstrator and I modified it and added it to a gift tag instead. I made mine  for a very cute little man turning 2. I used so many punches it’s difficult to list them all – but the Owl punch, Chevron punch, 1 3/4″ circle punch all made an appearance as did Tombow multipurpose adhesive and paper snips! I wrapped the gift in plain brown paper and added the tag – I was pleased how it turned out and if you squint it almost looks like a recognisable punch art creation.

Salted caramel sauce hmmmmmm

I was fortunate recently to get a wonderful handmade gift from a friend for my birthday – a beautifully packaged jar of salted caramel sauce and yes it does taste as good as it looks!

IMG_6377-2

I love how she used the tea lace doilies to top the jar and embellish the bag, SU! co-ordination to a tee.
