Chocolate Santa Christmas tags or ornaments

Every year I say I’ll be more organised for Christmas and then December comes and it just hasn’t happened! However I thought I would share this super cute and quick idea with you, I CASEd it from a lovely creative friend Jill.

This project is as simple as cutting 2″ strips of card stock (I cut mine from A4 card and make them 2″ x 10.5cm so that I get 8 per sheet), punching them with the tag topper punch, stamping them with a sentiment and then adding some frosted sequins and a little chocolate Santa with glue dots. Thread some ribbon through the punched hole and you’re done – perfect for decorating a tree, adding to a special gift or in my case for my cherubs classmates.

I also did a stepped up version, which just layers the 2″ punched tag onto another piece of card stock 2 1/8″ wide and hand cutting the corners off. I also added some faux stitching with the thin journalling pen from Project Life.

I can’t believe I oscillated for ages before committing to the frosted sequins as they are gorgeous and with 450 in a container last for ages – I’ve used them in 3 Crafternoon classes, plus two of my own projects which involve a lot of multiples and I still have lots left!
