If you love sailing or know someone else who does, this bundle is meant for you! But it’s not limited to sailing-based projects. The sentiments in the stamp set open up lots of possibilities!
This bundle allows you to create cards and gift packaging for so many occasions, including birthdays, graduations, and other celebrations.
Purchasing the stamp set & punch as a bundle will save you 10% which you can do so here.
Make a card for someone who’s embarking on a new adventure.
Fun tip: You can also use the larger water image as a cloud!
I am loving the embossed treat bags – they make such lovely gift packaging and for $13.25 for a pack of two they are good value too!
Plus you can add a Father’s Day sentiment from another set to create a Father’s Day card or gift packaging that your dad will love.
If you want directions to make any of the projects above you can click here for the PDF and if you need to order any materials to craft with you can do so here.

Each month Stampin’ Up! challenge demonstrators to create basic “simple stamping” cards to help inspire people who are new to stamping who don’t own 30 years worth of accumulated craft products! So this month the criteria for the card was stamps, ink & new.
For me the new are items from the upcoming Annual Catalogue, releasing May 3rd. I used the Bottled with Happiness stamp set, a simple two layer set with two of the new In Color inks Sweet Sorbet and Parakeet Party. I stamped the sentiment in sorbet ink and then masked off the strip across the centre of the Basic White card with a torn Post-It note. Then I stamped the leaves in the green ink and the flowers in the sorbet colour. I layered the white panel onto one of the Tea Boutique cards & envelopes – these are super cute & convenient as the envelopes are already decorated as are the card fronts and the pack comes in a variety of colours and patterns, they are on page 137 of the new catalogue (I can’t link the product yet until it releases – access to items early are one of the many perks of being a demonstrator).
If you want to join us at the Annual Catalogue Launch Party we’re holding on Saturday May 14th from 3-5pm you can check out the event details here or if you can’t make it to the event, but would like a copy of the new catalogue and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator please let me know as I’d be happy to get one to you & be your demonstrator to help you on your creative journey.
We recently had an online demonstrator event, which I converted into an in person event which of course meant we need to get inky and I designed three make & takes using items in the new catalogue. The Waves of the Ocean stamp set & dies are currently available as an early purchase, the waves basic rhinestones are only available on the early release not in the next Annual Catalogue and they are beautiful, but I am partial to blue! Does anyone else see this pelican and think of Stormboy or is that just an Australian thing?
I took a Basic White panel 8.7cm x 13 cm and put it into the Stamparatus with the large wave stamp. I stamped the image in Bermuda Bay ink and the didn’t clean it, using a Blend Brush ink up parts of the wave with Night of Navy ink, stamp it onto the wave & repeat 2-3 times until you are happy with the result, I tend to focus on the curl of the wave.
Take the panel out of the Stamparatus – using a different Blend Brush with Pool Party ink softly colour in the wave a bit more. Then I layered it onto a panel of Night of Navy card stock 9.1cm x 13.4cm and onto a Bermuda Bay card base.
I stamped the sentiment in Night of Navy ink on a piece of scrap Pool Party & die cut it with the Wave Dies. Layer the sentiment onto the card front using Dimensionals.
The pelican is coloured using markers & stamping via the Stamparatus (these are awesome as this way you don’t need to colour everything at once and the image alignment is perfect every time). I used the Stampin’ Write markers for the pelican image in neutrals and brights. I started colouring with the lightest colour first, Mango Melody, on it’s beak and feet so as not to contaminate the colours i.e. I work light to dark. The body of the pelican can be done in either Night of Navy or one of the browns, depending upon you’re personal preference. The pylons are coloured using Crumb Cake all over, then a second inking of the posts are with Soft Suede and a little Early Espresso – the cord is with Early Espresso. I wanted no white edge on the image so instead of using the dies, I fussy cut the pelican image, before mounting the pelican and the sentiment on Dimensionals and put onto the card front. I finished the card with a few rhinestones (yes I always do an uneven number of rhinestones – as per Antoni Gaudi).
Before I share details of the lovely card and gift I received, above, I wanted to give you a quick heads up there are some price increases that are coming soon.
I wanted to let you know that we’re having our first shipping price increase in 15 years in Australia since Stampin’ Up! came to Australia shipping has been $5.95 flat rate or 5% of the order value – from April 1st 2022 shipping will now be $6.95 or 6% which ever is cheaper. Stampin’ Up! have always and will continue still subsidise the shipping costs on all orders as if you think about it a parcel red satchel from the post office starts at $9.40 (a lot more than what we are being charged). I would strongly encourage you to order smart ie maximise the value you are ordering each time to minimise shipping costs. I just wanted to let you know pretty much as soon as I’ve been notified so that it doesn’t come as a shock.
I received this lovely card and gift last week from Donna and it was too lovely not to share. The background was created using the Stitched Greenery Die (sadly retired) and the leaves and flowers are all die cut with the Pierced Blooms Dies and the gold foil leaves are punched with the Symmetrical Stems Borders Punch. The sentiment is from the In Symmetry stamp set. Of course no card from Donna is complete without “bling” and the Champagne Rhinestones are so pretty.
The butterfly is from the Brilliant Wings Dies and the black is glimmer paper from the mini catalogue that retired (generally this type of specialty paper gets released for Halloween) plus of course some basic rhinestones. On the back of the butterfly is a nice strong magnet so that I can have it adoring my desktop computer.
The Christmas Card Challenge is something I used to run in a past life ie well over 20 years ago and I think things got busy and I stopped, but this year I’m reviving it! The awesome thing is that it’s your personal challenge, not one with goals that I set – my only agenda is to encourage you to craft & hopefully help reduce stress come the festive season,; plus as a bonus I’m offering some little prizes and we can share our creations to inspire each other…so hopefully it’s a win:win situation & I’m happy to modify things if you have suggestions on how to make it better.
The challenge goes like this if you normally make e.g. 40 Christmas Cards per year to give away/mail out then break it down into monthly blocks from February – November (ie divide by 10) and aim to make 4 cards per month then boom – by the time Christmas comes around hopefully you will be able to just write out the cards and address the envelopes without having to set aside days to make the cards.
You chose how many cards that you are aiming to make each month, if you join in August your goal may be higher per month than if you join in February…..but it’s your personal goal. Bonus is if you share a photo each month of what you created either on email/SMS to me or on the FaceBook group then I’ll add you to the monthly prize drawing. PLUS as a bonus for those that played along each month you get put into a different prize draw at the end and those that achieved their original target goal of cards made you all get to go into a different draw (so all up you have 12 chances of winning a prize throughout the year).
So What’s not to love – there’s no cost, no penalties and it’s run on your honesty….I’ll only be mailing prizes to Australia addresses though, however if you are from overseas feel free to join in the fun each month and help inspire each other. Below is what I made this month, which is 2 cards to make up the quota for February and 3 towards my target 4 cards for March….as you can see there are duplicates, retired items, CASEd layouts….
There aren’t many rules, it doesn’t matter if you make them all the same design, it doesn’t matter if it’s Stampin’ Up! or non Stampin’ Up! product, I don’t mind if it’s retired product, I just want to see people crafting & enjoying themselves, I would however ask that you don’t post advertisements on the group. Please also remember to be kind, we are all at different stages of our crafting journey and this year more than most I’d like to see kindness become the new black.
You can either join the group on FaceBook here or just joining via email or SMS and just send me a picture each month of what you’ve made.
So I’m not sure how I feel about sharing this post with you all as I feel like a bit of a vulture, however equally if I don’t share it no doubt someone else will. So as you may know Kaszazz, a direct sales papercrafting company from South Australia, recently announced that beginning 1 April 2022, it will no longer operate as a direct sales company.
Kaszazz consultants interested in becoming a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator will be extended the following offer:
When you sign up as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, you can purchase a Starter Kit for $169 and get $235 worth of products plus a business builder kit and free delivery.
If you sign up by 15 March, you’ll also receive two additional free stamp sets of your choice as part of Sale-A-Bration.
After you have signed up as a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, we’ll give you an additional $150 in Stampin’ Up! products to show off to your customers!
Additional details include:
New demonstrators must sign up before 1 May 2022 to be eligible for this offer.
If a Kaszazz consultant has already signed up to be a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, the offer is retroactive.
The additional $150 product order is non-commissionable and must be placed with Demonstrator Support.
I’d sort of feel mercenary offering this, but equally if someone was interested in re-joining another direct sales craft company and I didn’t let them know they could join my team I’d feel bad…..stay safe & enjoy your weekend, hope you get inky!
How exciting from the 1st of March until the 2nd of May you can not only get your hands on a gorgeous new stamp set & dies to coordinate that will be available int eh 2022-2023 Annual Catalogue. PLUS for a limited time (read whilst stocks last) you can also get coordinating designer series paper, blue foils specialty paper AND very pretty blue gems.
The products are available to purchase them individually or the dies and stamps as a bundle to save 10% or you can purchase everything as an entire suite with just one ordering code, still saving 10% on the dies & stamps. You can see the beautiful designer series papers below or you can check them out here.
This stunning suite of products will allow you to explore the ocean without getting wet! They make terrific encouragement, birthday, masculine, teenage retirement cards and more!
Remember the designer series paper, blue foils and gems are only available whilst stocks last, so get in quick – the paper is gorgeous and won’t last long, plus if you order before March 16th you can still get your free Sale-a-bration items = winning!
We had a delayed catalogue launch party last weekend for the new Sale-a-bration and January – June Catalogues as there have been a few global and internal freight issues of late…so to minimise those we chose to have our party a little later than normal, which is fine as Sale-a-bration now runs through until March 16th 2022.
We had three card projects for people to do on the day using items from both new catalogues, as well as a yummy afternoon tea to enjoy as well as some displays to inspire.
The first item participants made was using the Awesome Otters and the Simply Marbelous designer series paper (both level 1 Sale-a-bration freebies). The otter and sentiment were stamped in Memento Black ink this was made easier by using the Stamparatus to ensure everyone got correct alignment of the two images. and the otter was coloured using the Smoky Slate,Balmy Blue and Crumb Cake Blends. The small school of fish from Whale Done were stamped in Misty Moonlight in full strength and stamped off versions. The seaweed was die cut in vellum from the Sea Dies. The card base and scalloped circle, cut with the layering circle dies, were also in Misty Moonlight card stock. The circle was layered up on foam Dimensionals.
The second project designed by Sue is a book fold card, featuring what has to be my current favourite sentiment “sending a card instead of a text”. The stamp sets are Very Versailles and Flowing Flowers. The shading was added using the blending brushes and the white crinkle seam binding was coloured to match the project with the Crumb Cake Blends. The background texture is from Tasteful Textures. Of course if you don’t like the sentiment we chose fro the samples – then you can always add a different one as they are your cards!
The last project was another by Sue and was made using the Amazing Silhouettes bundle, which is a lovely coordinating stamp set & die bundle – personally I love bundles as you can save 10%! It is a beautiful effect created by stamping the image into Versamark first, then adding Balmy Blue & Night of Navy ink to the top and bottom of the image, stamping it and adding clear embossing powder before heat setting it. The tree was coloured in with a water painters and the die cut word in Cinnamon Cider mounted onto vellum background shadow. The card base was again textured with the Tasteful Textures embossing folder (can you tell we love that subtle effect?)
Of course no event with Sue and I is complete without a yummy snacks and a little sugar treat of some description – this time I made up some matchbox fold treats featuring the Happy Hegehog bundle which were teamed with a sentiment from my new favourite sentiment set, Celebrating You. Random – but did you know a group of hedgehogs is collectively called a prickle – I love random stuff like that & before you ask a group of otters on land is either called a bevy or romp and in the water a raft!
As you can see our afternoon tea covered most dietary restrictions and featured a chocolate, cherry coconut slice (GF), fresh figs from my tree, chocolate cupcakes (DF), melting moments and rice crackers with dip (both DF, GF). If you’d like to know when our next event is just sign up to my newsletter to keep up to date or if you would like a copy of the new catalogues and don’t already have a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator, please let me know.
