I saw a lovely sketch recently on Creating Pretty Cards and decided to break out some of my new stamp sets to join in the fun! This was the sketch:
I admit for me it looked like a lot of layers and bows and pink definitely isn’t me – so I decided to flip the sketch and add the layers with ink rather than card stock or ribbon and highlighted it with paper piercing, I am loving how the new paper piercing mats match the framelit shapes.
Stamps: From My Heart, Flowering Flourishes
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede & Crumb Cake
Accessories: Labels Collection Framelits, small heart punch, Dimensionals, paper piercer, Essentials paper-piercing pack, Festive paper piercing pack, stamping sponge
What a pretty card! I love the way you flipped it and used stamping in place of the ribbon! And the paper-piercing touches really add depth! So pretty! Thank you for sharing!
I love your take on the sketch! What a great way to look at it – to substitute the stamping for the layers. I love the paper-piercing too! Thanks so much for playing along with the Creating Pretty Cards Sketch Challenge over at Craft Project Central.
