CASEing the Catalogue – Posted For You

I often get inspired by looking at projects in the catalogue and this was one on page 85 that was no exception. The card is pretty simple (well it is with the new Cut & Emboss machine) as I texture embossed the Cinnamon Cider background with the Woodland embossing folder and the strip of vellum with the Subtle 3D embossing folder. The hexagon shape was die cut with the Stitched Nested Labels. The images were stamped with Cinnamon Cider ink and watercolored with the pencils and a Blender Pen before being punched out with the Rectangular Postage Stamp Punch.

Some other cards made using the bundle are below – love the versatility of this bundle – plus you save 10% when you purchase it as a bundle!

Butterfly Bouquet Early Release

So now the excitement of Saleabration is behind us – we need to welcome the Butterfly Brilliance Collection – this is an early release of the stamps & dies that will be in the next annual catalogue – but the accompanying papers are exclusive to the pre-order time frame of March 2nd until May 3rd 2021.

If you want everything in the Butterfly Brilliance Collection below you can order it all on one code and save 10%.

The Butterfly Brilliance stamp is a SINGLE image (of course if you want to cut them all up to use them individually – that works too!).

The Brilliant Wings dies cut out the butterflies AND also create a detailed layer to go over the top e.g. with vellum

Of course you can save 10% if you order the Butterfly Brilliance bundle of stamp set & dies

Plus during the pre-catalogue release period you can get exclusive coordinating Butterfly Bjiou 6″x6″ designer series paper (hint – you can cut out all the butterfly images on one of the sheets with the dies – how cool is that?)

To completely crown off the Butterfly Collection there is some lovely Natural Touch specialty paper to allow you to create gorgeous cards or scrapbook layouts.

So add some colour to your autumn and get your hands on these gorgeous butterflies sooner rather than later!

Duet of Corner Bouquet

Initially I was a bit intimidated by this large bold image in the Saleabration offering – Corner Bouquet, but then I had the opportunity to play with it and found it surprisingly easy to create lovely cards with.

The first one I combined Corner Bouquet with the Oh So Ombre designer series paper and the sentiment was from the very popular Saleabration stamp set, Darling Donkeys. The ink is just Memento Black ink and a few Cinnamon Cider enamel dots and a little ribbon from the last mini catalogue to add some bling.

The next card I used Bermuda Bay card base to coordinate with the other colour in the Oh So Ombre designer series paper and the Corner Bouquet and the sentiment was from Heal Your Heart. I liked the addition of the metallic pearls, square vellum doilies and sponging to soften this sympathy card.

Valentines Day Posted For You Tag

So we don’t normally do much in our house for St Valentines Day, because like most “Hallmark holidays” I refuse to buy into the insincere commercialism & pressure of it all. However this year we’ve been having a pretty rough run of things on a lot of fronts, so I decided to brighten up my boys lives with a little chocolate & I couldn’t just give them a boring bag of Lindt Balls could I?

How simple is this gift tag? Yet it coordinates beautifully with the bag colours and makes it a little bit special for them. The heart clip isn’t from Stampin’ Up! but it went with the general theme of things and looked nicer than some sticky tape for holding the tag onto the bag.

I stamped one of the main images from Posted For You (love this set) in Memento ink and punched it out with the smooth heart punch from the Heart Punch Pack and the Real Red scalloped heart with the coordinating punch in the same pack. I coloured the images with the Blends in Old Olive and Real Red. I added the word “you” from the Itty Bitty Greetings I found it easier to add the single word later than before I punched things out. The 2″ x 10.5cm Thick Basic White piece I punched with the Scallop Tag Topper and added some white Bakers Twine from the Snailed It Suite.

Playful Darling Donkeys

How cute are these little barnyard critters? I love how Stampin’ Up! always seems to have a cute animal stamp set as part of Saleabration – although I confess I am really hanging out for them to do a Quokka set one year! However for now I’ll settle for Darling Donkeys especially when it coordinates with the stunning Oh So Ombre designer series paper! I am not the only one who loves these items as currently the most popular Saleabration stamp set redemption is Darling Donkeys & the Oh So Ombre the most popular designer series paper redemption item for the 2021.

I stamped the Donkeys onto Basic White and then coloured them with the Blends (Soft Suede, Smoky Slate, Real Red and Petal Pink then fussy cut them out. The sentiment was stamped in Memento ink, and then layered onto Basic Grey and Old Olive card stock base.

What are your favourite 2021 Saleabration items?

In Bloom You Mean So Much Card

After yesterdays post about the In Bloom Bundle I thought I should share a not quite so bright sample with you! Maybe the glorious rain that has dampened all of the busfires brought me down off my colour high?

  1. Die cut the flower pieces from Soft Seafoam, Petal Pink & Soft Suede card stock.
  2. Stamp the sentiment on Very Vanilla Card stock with Sift Suede ink and die-cut
  3. Stamp background flowers on a piece of Very Vanilla Card stock 9.9 x 7cm in Balmy Blue, Petal Pink, Soft Sea Foam and Soft Suede ink.
  4. Score your base card stock (10.5 x 29.6cm) in half at 14.8cm
  5. Adhere a piece of the In Good Taste Designer Series Paper (10 x 3″) to the card front, then the stamped Very Vanilla panel and the die cut sentiment with Dimensionals.
  6. Snip the ends of the Fine Art ribbon, fold it in half and layer the die cut flower pieces on top with Dimensionals, holding the ribbon in place at the same time.

In Bloom Bundle

I love bundles, they are a total win:win scenario as you get to save 10% off the purchase price, plus everything coordinates beautifully. Now I’m the first to admit that this In Bloom bundle isn’t my normal style – but it is big, bold and screams colour doesn’t it? I love blueberries, sadly I kill more plants than survive our heat here in Perth, but I am loving how well our native equivalent, the Midgenberry, grows here. I love the Sale-a-bration level two bundle with the exclusive stamp set & designer series paper Berry Blessings.

HEY CHICK & HEY BIRTHDAY CHICK BUNDLES

Hey Chick! You may remember, way back during Sale-A-Bration in 2017 when the Hey Chick Stamp Set was a Sale-a- Bration reward (yes I still have mine as I refused to part with it). We were blown away by how much everyone loved it. So Stampin’ Up! decided to bring it back—along with coordinating dies that, of course, make it even better.

So for a limited time you can get each stamp set & dies as a bundle and save 10% or purchase the items individually – the choice as always is yours!

Of course the creative fun isn’t just for the chicks either, kids and guys will get a laugh out of these funny, feathered friends.

More Christmas 2020

I wanted to share with you a couple more crafty things from our Christmas this year…we are very big on presence not presents in our house and were very touched to receive these super yummy homemade savoury cheese and sweet lemon & polenta biscuits from a very generous friend, thanks Yolanda.

This next one was a very unexpected gift from a lovely friend and team member, thanks Denise, for storing and keeping my Take A Pick Tool safe……and most impressively I found it so I could put it into it’s new storage space – to say my craft space is messy is an understatement!

This last one is actually my sons Christmas breakfast, he had his heart set on making us Eggs Benedict from scratch so that’s what he did, even the toast is fresh baked gluten free just for me! The ceramic place marker/napkin holder is something he made in ceramics class for each of us, these will definitely be put away for use again in future years.
