Bleached Artistically Asian

I love using bleach for stamping, each stamped image is completely unique and it’s a seriously simple technique, you just have to remember to thoroughly clean your stamps as soon as you finish.

Some card stock colours work better than others, personally I’ve found that colours like Real Red, Soft Suede, Pacific Point, Cherry Cobbler, Blackberry Bliss all work really well as the colours bleach out. For this card I used Real Red with Artistically Asian bamboo stamp on an ink pad made from fresh bleach (it has to be fresh, the older the bottle of bleach the less contrast you will get when you stamp the images) and paper towel.

You have to allow the image to develop for about 5 minutes to get the full bleaching effect. I always rinse off the stamps immediately after using them in bleach and I’ve only ever done this technique with red rubber never photo polymer so I don’t know what the results with that style of stamps would be.

The card was completed by over stamping another image and the kanji from the set in Basic Black and the sentiment to match.
