Incentive Trip Swaps – treat container

During the Incentive Trip in July we got to participate in a swap with other demonstrators from around Australia, New Zealand, Europe and England. I was my normal indecisive self and couldn’t decide what to make for the swap – so in the end I re-worked one of the treat items we had made for my July School Holiday class. I must say that without my two beautiful friends Catherine & Charmaine who came to my production line assistance in making the Incentive Trip swaps they would not have not have been finished in time – so a big heartfelt thank you to both of those lovely girls.

Here is the item we made for the school holiday class a simple folded container that was decorated on the outside and inside has some treats!

The versatile owl punch is always very popular with all ages for making a lot of different things – however for the younger ones they just stamped a retired image from Punch Bunch and punched it out and the older children assembled an owl as normal.

So for the Incentive trip swaps, I tool the same basic idea – an A4 sheet cut lengthwise into 7cm strips and then scored. The score lines were easy to add with the Simply Scored board at 4 1/4″, 5 1/4″ and 9 1/2″ (sorry I switch between metric and imperial measurements frequently due to my upbringing where I used both interchangeably – the good thing is that most of the Stampin’ Up! items now measure in both). The last piece between 9 1/2″ and the end of the sheet is the edge that I tend to boarder punch and add the velcro closure to.

Inside the treat container I added a ‘taste of Australia’ including an Australian Afternoon tea bag, a chocolate bullet, Caramello Koala, Eucalyptus boiled lolly and of course some Vegemite!
