Ohh my goodness – so much excitement, Stampin’ Up! have done a huge colour re-vamp, the first time in 10 years and it looks amazing! Before you all lament over the loss of your favourite colours please consider this – do you still have the same colour clothes, tupperware or doona covers that you did in the 1980s? Times change and colour is a big part of creativity, decisions to change the colours were not made on a whim, they included sales data, global colour trends, focus groups, feedback from customers and demonstrators and a lot more………the awesome news is that overall we end up with 3 more colours than we currently have so we will have even more choice moving forward!
However before I share the new colours, lets pause a moment an mourn the loss (or not) of these colours that are leaving us:
Please don’t mourn Flirty Flamingo too long as it’s returning as a current colour! The other 4 retiring in-colours are leaving us for good though (so don’t forget to order your card stock & re-inkers for those colours sooner rather than later here as they will run out!).
There are still four beautiful colour families, each containing 10 colours, however you will see that Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Whisper White are no longer part of the neutrals group……they have migrated to form their own little enclave called the Basics colours. So the four new colour families look like this for June 1st onwards:
As you can see there are a few returning in colours from the past as well as brand new colours (how gorgeous is that new grape colour in the Brights family? – finally a decent proper purple colour YAY). There is also a lot more colour in the neutrals palette as it was found that for e.g. Christmas the base or neutral colours used were red/green/blue or for weddings blue so hence Night of Navy migrated across there and were joined by Mossy Meadow and the lovely new Merry Merlot. I’m not going to go through all the cloud families, but you get the idea that there has been a huge shake up of colour, but they still look amazing.
The 2018-2019 in-colours to complete the 53 colours are here and they are BRIGHT, but look totally amazing together as the main focus on a card or page or as an accent.
Now I know you are probably in need of a cuppa right now to help take all the new information, but just to completely tip you over the edge there has been the retirement of the archival inks in both black and gray. The new basic gray is exactly the same colour, but it will revert to being a water based ink. You cannot re-ink the old gray pad with the new waterbased re-inker or vice versa it simply won’t work, so please keep this in mine. However to soften the blow there is the very, very welcome return of StazOn Black ink to cover the niche left for waterproof black ink when watercoloring and or for techniques.
Still with me? The crux of it is that not all change is bad, I confess to only being a little sad about losing ONE of the retiring colours, but I found I liked several of the colours coming into our new families so that must have meant there were over 10 colours, or an entire colour family equivalent, that I just plain didn’t like – that’s crazy +20% of the SU! colours that I simply wasn’t in love with/haven’t been using. If you do have ANY of the retiring colours that you need re-inkers, card stock or accents for, please order them sooner rather than later as honestly I do not want you to be disappointed when stocks run out. You can shop online here for them 24/7.
The retirement lists are available now. That means select products from the Occasions Catalogue and Annual Catalogue are retiring—and this is your last chance to get them!
Our retiring products lists can be downloaded in PDF format. Please note these lists may not be updated when supplies are no longer available. Reviewing retiring products online here is the best method to ensure what is available.
Products will no longer be available after May 31, 2018.
Here’s some things to keep in mind regarding the retired lists.
Bundle prices DO NOT carry over. A bundle might be listed to retire, unless the stamp set and framelits are also listed individually the only thing that’s retiring is the bundle price. If it’s something on your wishlist, get it now and save!
ALL the ink pads are listed, that’s not because all the colors are retiring. Some colours are leaving us for good but our ink pads are getting a new design so our current ink pad design is retiring. I’ll post more about that very soon
Retiring products are only available while supplies last. Shop early to get all those items on your wishlist!

To help celebrate the launch of the Occasions and Sale-a-bration Catalogues with customers a friend and I held a fun crafting afternoon a few weeks ago. The afternoon involved three make & takes, six door prizes, a yummy afternoon tea, the opportunity to be amongst the first to use the new Stamparatus tool, see a Brushos demonstration and see some inspiring product displays.
Here is the first make and take using the beautiful Petal Palette suite, Happy Wishes and the beautiful Burlap background stamp. The ombre effect was achieved with stamping daubers and the Stamparatus.
The Party Pandas are shaping up to be one of the most favourite sets for my team and customers during Sale-a-bration so far and this make and take was super cute! The black and white Petal Passion designer series paper was coloured using a brayer and then the balloons and the hat coloured with a blender pen and watercolour pencils.
The final project was a tone on tone done in blues: Bermuda Bay, Pool Party and Dapper Denim. The guitar was fussy cut with paper snips and the sentiment was punched with the new Tailored Tag punch.
Obviously during Sale-a-bration there are some fantastic freebies to be chosen for different spend amounts so we wanted to showcase some of the variety of hand stamped items you can make with those.
Each door prize featured a Panda tag.
…..and the theme was continued for the cup cake toppers as well – I should say there were also large platters of fruit in addition to sugar treats!
What I forgot to photograph was the little treat container that featured, you guessed it a little fussy cut Panda with a red party hat!
Well I have zero idea where 2017 disappeared to, but yay the new Sale-a-bration and Occasions Catalogues have just launched today – how amazing do these products look?
I am super excited to share all of the wonderful things that these contain with you – if you want a copy of the catalogues mailed to you please let me know and I will get those to you, but if you can’t wait you can download the PDF now.
Of course Sale-a-bration gives customers, hostesses & people joining my team bonus opportunities that are exclusive to Sale-a-bration so check them all out here:
For customers you can earn a free item for each $90 you spend on products and this year for the first time there are two levels of rewards – for $90 spend and $180 spend and it’s not just stamps, there are ribbons, paper and memories & more kits to chose form as well. The current hostess code is NWJ4RCAR if you are ordering online here.
For hostesses you can get a bonus $40 in hostess dollars when your order goes over $400 so that should help shorten your wish list!
For those of you wanting to join my team either as a business or hobby demonstrator you can get a bonus two stamp sets of your choosing in addition to the normal starter kit all for just $169 and it’s 100% customisable so if you already have lots of craft supplies or you are completely new to paper crafts you can chose what you want.
Here’s a closer look at one of the stamp sets you could earn for free during Sale-a-bration
If you missed my newsletter and FaceBook updates this week, honestly do yourself a favour and check out this amazing new tool from Stampin’ Up!
Personally I’m pretty excited about this tool as I’ve been privileged to be part of the global development group for the last umm 2 years that has been working on this…….so it’s sort of exciting to finally see this come to fruition!

Retail Price–$85.00 AUD/$99.00 NZD
The Stamparatus will become an standard order able item in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalogue, however you do have an opportunity (or three) to pre-order it via the reservations windows.
There is a limit of one tool per person per reservation window so you can over time get more than one……you will require a credit card to reserve your Stamparatus which will not be charged until your tool is ready to ship from the warehouse, also enabling you to add to your order. Stampin’ Up! has chosen to do this launch via the reservation method in order to avoid frustrating backorders and to ensure the amount of tools required are how many the factory produces.

Opps I’m not sure why I forgot, but here’s the second part of our Christmas Craft Buffet projects, so here they are better late than never!
How cute are these little Christmas Stockings? They can contain small treats or a gift card. you can use the thinlits to make a pillbox or just a funky tag using the Tags & Trimmings bundle and the Quilted Christmas 6″x6″ designer paper.
Project number 7 is made using products from the Annual Catalogue and I love it, perfect for Christmas, but equally useful for other occasions depending upon the sentiment stamped on the inside of the card. The bird is from Best Birds which has coordinating Birds & Blooms thinlits to cut the branch and bird out and layers with the Stitched Shapes framelits and the Woodland textured impressions embossing folder
These fun trio of gift tags made project 9 a popular choice, featuring the Merry Little Labels Bundle (which saves you 10% when you get the stamps and punch that co-ordinate) is available in wood or clear mount rubber. The product suite also includes the beautiful black, white & Old Olive designer Series Paper called Merry Little Christmas.
In addition to the ten terrific projects that the ladies had to chose from at our Christmas Card Buffet there was also a couple of door prizes and a gift for everyone who came. To ensure that energy levels were maintained there were refreshments both healthy and umm more calorie dense!
If you would like a copy of the Holiday Catalogue please let me know and I will send you one.
Stampin’ Up! has just released a suite of beautiful new alcohol markers in 12 exciting colours called Stampin’ Blends, one of the awesome things about these is that you can order them in individual markers or as a duo pack!
There is also an exclusive new stamp set and kit to co-ordinate with the new Stampin’ Blends which are both available whilst stocks last – the pens however are now a stocked item and will continue through to the new annual catalogue in 2018.
How cute are these cards made with the kit and stamp set and of course coloured with the new Stampin’ Blends. The kit comes in wood mount stamps for $79 or clear mount stamps for $66.50 saving you 10% on buying the kit and stamps separately.
