Sale-a-bration AND JJ Mini Catalogue

Well it’s all happening today – the new July – December Mini Catalogue has been released (yes I know it’s now August the 3rd, but everything got put back month due to Covid19 shipping delays) – so yay now it’s launched the SAME day at the second Sale-a-bration Catalogue which is valid from August 3rd until 30th of September – YAY FREE STUFF!

There are lots of lovely items in both catalogues so lets start with a short video summary of all the lovely free items you can earn with Sale-a-bration there are items to chose for each $90 spend increment, you can get an exclusive stamp set for hosting a party (or melting your credit card) and if you join my team you can chose one free bundle from the new mini catalogue on pages 65-71 that’s in addition to your normal awesome starter kits which is just $169 for $235 of your choice of product.

One of the demonstrator perks is that we get to order items from the catalogues earlier than customers….so I made a couple of cards using new things. The first one was one of the new bundles, Happy Holly-Days, which when you purchase as a bundle you get 10% off. I thought if I start my Christmas card making now I may have a chance of getting them sent on time this year!

The second was using the stamp set Nuts About Squirrels – I grew up in the UK and we had LOTS of squirrels in the forests scampering about so I love these little critters, plus I never fail to laugh at Scrat from the Ice Age movies my son loved when he was younger.

Bouquet of Hope Alternatives

As I work away from home a fair, when I am away 2+ nights I tend to take some craft things with me. Since the Paper Pumpkin and Kits Collection have been released it’s been so nice being able to literally just grab a box, pair of scissors, mini cutter (a demo only item) and bottle of liquid glue and know I have everything I need to create! (the kit does include adhesives, but my personal preference for adhesive is liquid glue). This last month I’ve been playing on and off with the Bouquet of Hope Paper Pumpkin kit that was released mid April.

The Bouquet of Hope kit is all inclusive so no need to pack my blocks or ink pads and at $37 is great value as instead of just making 9 cards with pretty envelopes I tend to add in a few more card bases and plain white envelopes and make lots more than just the 9, especially as fortunately at the moment I’m not in need of many sympathy cards.

Here are a few of the alternatives I’ve made using the kit, for some I cut up the patterned envelopes and use those as patterned paper layers.

I did use a few extra bits that were sitting on my desk, that is had been cut for other projects, then rejected…..hence the addition of a little Bumblebee ribbon or punched butterflies.

I did really like the postage stamp effect as it just used the left over flap part of the envelopes and I actually made the card in 4 different colours, just changing the base card each time.

I did need some extra flowers on top of the die cuts provided in the kit so used the Strawberry Bundle to create extra leaves and flowers in the colours I wanted (love that you can save 10% by purchasing the stamp set and punch as a bundle).

The Kits Collection

I’m super excited about the new Kits Collection that is releasing tomorrow, June 1st 2021, there will now be constantly 10 different kits available online at any one time, when they run out another will be added. Some kits are all inclusive with gorgeous stamps and others are non stamping and just need assembling. So there are perfect for everyone who like creating thus making them perfect gifts, fun group activities, for travelling, when you’ve lost your mojo and more! Sweet Strawberry Thinking of You

I love coodinating stamp sets and punches and not just because you get to save 10% when you purchase the as a bundle! The Sweet Strawberry bundle is so versatile, this simple card was created by over lapping the floral branch image and covering the joins with the single punched flower. I stamped everything in StazOn Black ink and watercolored them with Fresh Fresia, Granny Apple Green & Daffodil delight. The sentiment is from Happy Thoughts and the highlight is the little gold bumblebee trinket – totally love these as evidenced by the fact I’m on my second packet already!

Hopefully this card will help bring a smile to the recipient who is currently commencing their battle with cancer.
