Santa suit chocolate tutorial

Well the clearance list is proving to be very popular – if there is anything you want form any of the weeks lists let me know ASAP, then I can try to submit the order as soon as that week starts to try to avoid the disappointment some of you have had this week. The links for all the weeks are here.

I used the large tag punch form the list, now just $15.50 to make up these little chocolate treat holders after seeing something similar on Julie Davidson’s blog last year. I made them such that they fit our Dove chocolates.

They were fairly quick to make and look really cute lined up in a row! The Real Red base card stock is 11cm x 3.2cm and then punched each end with the large tag punch.

Score this piece 4cm from each end, the Whisper White strip is 8cm x 1.6cm and the Basic Black is punched from the word window punch, the silver glimmer paper is a 1/2″ circle.

Sorry for the very average photos – they were all done whilst I was at the river with the boys on the weekend – they dive/swim/build sandcastle forts and I get to craft, talk about a win:win situation! Anyway the pieces get assembled as per below.

I then turn the piece over and snip off the excess black on the word window punch, I find it a cleaner finish snipping form the back. Add a chocolate to the centre and use the extended white piece to close the Santa suit.

Told you it was easy! Hope you enjoyed the tutorial and if you want anything from the clearance list let me know sooner rather than later!

Ornament swap

We had a lovely demonstrator meeting tonight with some of my upline/sideline SU! demonstrators. It was lovely to see everyone and as part of it we participated in an ornament swap……..this group of girls are VERY talented!

This gorgeous green wreath was made by Michelle from one she’d seen on the internet a few years ago by Andrea Walford.

This 3D ornament was made by Kathy, the red dots are all the dazzling details glitter glue, so sparkly in real life!

This was made by my ever talented upline Charmaine using the lattice die, for instructions you can check out a similar one made here.

A beautiful hanging box ornament made by Maureen with the Be of Good Cheer DSP, champagne glimmer paper and cherry cobbler tulle ribbon – so pretty!

Tracie embellished this silver ornament with some amazing hand cut snowflake images from Snowflake Soiree and lots of basic rhinestones – so sparkly!

An amazing beaded ornament made by Bedelia that I was the lucky recipient of – she tried to tell me it was quick to make (???) I think we must measure time differently, but I love it – thank you!

This one isn’t a tree ornament, but a table decoration – a fabulous Christmas table runner made by Suzanne.

This was my ornament, also made from the lattice die (loving that one at the minute) an is very dimensional

and was CASEd from this tutorial and packaged into a simply decorated gift bag.

A beautiful array of items isn’t it? If you would like to join my Stampin’ Up! family just contact me or you can read more about it here and next year you might be joining in the fun of the team meetings, show and tell and swaps.

Use the candy as a stirring stick.

Daydream Medallion Christmas Wreath

I confess to having neglected my bird punch of late, which is very sad as I love it! The new Language of Friendship set though re-inspired me and I CASEd a card from a demonstrator only site and made this Christmas card recently.

You definitely need to use a stamp-a-ma-jig for lining up the images, but that only takes a minute and the result is very worth it. For the curious I use a fork to tie the bow with – google it on You Tube and you’ll find a tutorial, definitely a good way of getting nice results with bows!

Stamps: Language of Friendship, Curly Cute, Daydream Medallion

Ink: Cherry Cobbler, Basic Black & Gumball Green

Card stock: Whisper White, Gumball Green & Cherry Cobbler

Accessories: Stamp-a-ma-jog, Bird punch, Dimensionals, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, glue dots, basic rhinestones.

Mini plum pudding

One of the great things about being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator is the access to demonstrator only groups as they are a wonderful sources of ideas for different items. I recently bought the lattice die as I’d seen some beautiful Easter cards made using it, but then I saw a super cute idea from Teresa D. (who sadly doesn’t blog) and just had to CASE it – as it is perfect for Christmas. How cute are these? Can’t you just see them on your colleagues desk as little Christmas gifts or hung off the tree as ornaments??

Card stock: Chocolate Chip, Whisper White, red glimmer paper

Accessories: Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, lattice die, sticky strip, 1 1/4″ scallop circle punch, Itty Bitty punch

Non SU!: Fererro Rocher chocolate
