Stampin’ Up! has decided to celebrate Christmas a bit early this year – with TWO amazing special offers – the first one I’ll blog today is for hostesses and the second which I will share tomorrow is for customers.
Hostesses who hold a minimum $650 party during the promotion period from November 1st until December 16th will receive a FREE collection of Classic Stampin Pads*-they can choose from Brights, Subtles, or Regals (not neutrals) RRP$79.95. Charmaine and I have just finished cutting kits for all the wonderful people coming along to the Stamp-a-stack for a Season this Saturday and as part of the afternoon there will be lots of games, prizes, raffles etc to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help with the research, support and education that it provides.
Regarding the raffle I have checked with our states gaming laws and I am allowed to sell tickets for it up to 8 days prior to the drawing of it (you can read the appropriate document here), I have written permission from the NBCF to raise funds for them and also from Stampin’ Up! Australia who have donated the most massive box of goodies to raffle off……so that means that anyone in Australia can buy tickets and I will happily mail you the prize(s) if you win (overseas readers – I can’t mail the parcel overseas, however if you have an Australian mailing address I am happy to send it there). So no excuses for those who have said they have prior commitments this weekend and can’t come along and enjoy the day with us.

Below is the tag that was on my present from my upline Charmaine for promoting to manager recently – isn’t it gorgeous? It uses the new Floral Frames Framelits & the Paper Doily Sizzlits L
I saw this medallion card made a while back on LeeAnn G.’s blog who had CASEd it from Debbie H. and I just loved it – I changed it to a Christmas themed card, but it was quicker to make than I thought so I’ll definitely be making this again!
Stamps: Curly Cute
Ink: Gumball Green
Card stock: Gumball Green, Very Vanilla, Cherry Cobbler, Be of Good Cheer
Accessories: metallic brads, Dimensionals, brushed bronze buttons, paper piercer, mat pack, tag punch, linen thread.
I CASEd a punch art lion, I’ve seen a lot of variations of this around the net, but I think the original idea came from Jackie T. I used it on a card recently – it features the blossom punch and it’s so cute!
The clouds and birds are from the new Up, up & Away! stamp set, you can see that the Dimensionals help add more depth to the lion, as does sponging the edges of the pieces.
Stamps: Word Play & Up, Up & Away!
Ink: More Mustard Ink, Chocolate Chip, Baja Breeze
Card stock: So Saffron, More Mustard, Chocolate Chip, Always Artichoke, Whisper White
Accessories: Blossom punch, Boho blossom punch, word window punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 3/4″ circle punch, Owl punch, Dimensionals, basic rhinestones, stamping sponge, spritzer tool.
I used to make punch art flowers with the old style small & large oval punches, but this was the first time I’d used the new smaller oval punch – but I liked the result! My main hint with this card is to punch the small oval first and then frame it with the larger oval, otherwise you will be messing around for ages trying to line up the centre punch – the alternative is to put the large oval piece onto a post-it note and then use that to hold it straight for the second punch.
I used a bone folder to slightly curve each petal and give it more dimension. As you can see, I’m loving the free ribbon promotion this month!!
Stamps: Loving Thoughts
Ink: Raspberry Ripple
Card Stock: Summer Starfruit, Raspberry Ripple, Whisper White, Gumball Green
Accessories: Gumball Green Stitched Satin Ribbon, small oval punch, large oval punch, antique brad, 1/16″ handheld punch, white bakers twine, Boho blossom punch, Dimensionals, Big Shot, petals-a-plenty embossing folder, basic rhinestone, scallop oval punch.
I saw a lovely sketch recently on Creating Pretty Cards and decided to break out some of my new stamp sets to join in the fun! This was the sketch:
I admit for me it looked like a lot of layers and bows and pink definitely isn’t me – so I decided to flip the sketch and add the layers with ink rather than card stock or ribbon and highlighted it with paper piercing, I am loving how the new paper piercing mats match the framelit shapes.
Stamps: From My Heart, Flowering Flourishes
Card Stock: Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Ink: Soft Suede & Crumb Cake
Accessories: Labels Collection Framelits, small heart punch, Dimensionals, paper piercer, Essentials paper-piercing pack, Festive paper piercing pack, stamping sponge
One of the card layouts for todays punch art class was done using circles, for me circle punches are a staple for my crafting. Here are three different cards made using the same colours and layout depending upon the occasion required – also a great way to use up scraps! So long as you stay within the one colour scheme which in this case was Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler & Whisper White and I used one sentiment set for all the greetings as well.
Then I rearranged it to be a flower card…….can you see that I am loving the current FREE ribbon promotion!
and finally since I have a friend who keeps reminding me of the weeks/days until Christmas I also did this card just for her – it was a CASE of a CASE of a CASE so I have no idea who to credit the original idea to………
Stamps: Curly Cute, Circle Circus
Ink: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler
Card stock: Gumball Green, Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Be of Good Cheer Designer Series Paper
Accessories: 1″ circle punch, 3/4″ circle punch, Dimensionals, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, Cherry Cobbler Bakers Twine, Basic Rhinestones, Brushed Bronze Designer Buttons, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder,
A simple technique to do using the roller wheels is a shadow technique, also sometimes called a 3D technique. Basically it involves rolling the wheel across the card stock using a dark ink, but make sure you know where the seam in the roller wheel rubber is prior to doing this. Then clean, rein your roller wheel in a lighter colour and lining the rubber seam of the roller wheel up again, this time about 2-3mm offset from the first roll, roll across the card stock again.
I would like to note – it was my photography that was crooked here not the card!
Stamps: Fabulous Foliate
Card Stock: Pool Party, Midnight Muse, Whisper White
Ink: Midnight Muse, Whisper White Craft
Accessories: Paper piercer, mat pack, 1″ circle punch, 1 3/8″ circle punch, 1 1/4″ circle punch, Dimensionals.

This is some of what I have earnt for free this year………
….not bad for someone who joined to pay for their hobby whilst my husband was studying full time and our disposable income was virtually nil. This is on top of the wonderful people I get to meet, fun at workshops and great products I get to use. At the end of this month I’ll have been with SU! for three years and I’m definitely still having fun and to elaborate I’ll be doing some freebies on my blog, newsletter and FB page so be sure to be signed up to them all!
