A simple technique to do using the roller wheels is a shadow technique, also sometimes called a 3D technique. Basically it involves rolling the wheel across the card stock using a dark ink, but make sure you know where the seam in the roller wheel rubber is prior to doing this. Then clean, rein your roller wheel in a lighter colour and lining the rubber seam of the roller wheel up again, this time about 2-3mm offset from the first roll, roll across the card stock again.
