In-Colors Punch Hearts

When I sent out the new Annual Catalogue back in June to my customers I included a little make & take card project for them, since we couldn’t do a normal catalogue launch in person. Being the new catalogue I wanted to showcase the new in-colors, but it’s against Stampin’ Up! policy to include pre-stamped images, so it sort of limited my options – so this is what I created.

The base was Just Jade card, with a mat layer of Magenta Madness and then a panel of Whisper White that has been dry embossed with the new embossing folder, Old World Paper 3D – I totally love the texture on this folder. Then I added a stitched rectangle from the set of dies and using the small heart punch out from the Dog Builder punch I added a row of hearts in BumbleBee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. The sentiment I added was from Comfort & Hope which on the stamp set is a two line greeting, but I needed it to be one line to fit into the Classic Label punch – so I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker and inked up each line of the sentiment seperately and got the sentiment the way I wanted it to be. Of course those making the card kit up at home got to add their own sentiment, but I figured it was a generic enough card to enable people to make it up for any suitable occasion as required e.g. birthday, thinking of you, anniversary or just because (which in my opinion are the best sort of cards).
