Hello December, Project Life

CM2008B_SP

Have you seen the cool Christmas Supplement that got released? It contains some terrific new Project Life by Stampin’ Up! in the called Hello December – everything you need to document the entire month of December! The idea behind Hello December, is to document every day (or maybe just the important days) leading up to Christmas.

The range includes a new 6″ x 8″ Album, awesome new Envelope Pages, Hello December Card Collection, Hello December Accessory Pack plus a Stamp Set called December Wonder.

Here’s a new video from Stampin’ Up! to show you the Hello December range and just how easy it to put together.

Stuck for idea’s on what to document? Here are some suggestions:

  • Putting up the Christmas tree & decorating it
  • Decorating the house or garden
  • Wish lists or letters to Santa
  • Christmas baking and your favourite recipes
  • Gift wrapping – you may a have a theme each year or a special wrapping paper that is only used by Santa?
  • Photo’s with Santa
  • Viewing the Christmas lights around your area
  • School Christmas concert or class party
  • Family traditions
  • Teachers gifts
  • Christmas parties
  • Advent calendar
  • Your Christmas card/tags this year (if you are a stamper)

Don’t forget that you can also use the cards and accessories to create Christmas Cards, Gift Packaging and loads more. Everything in the Hello December supplement is whilst stocks last, so if there is something in it you like, I’d suggest ordering it sooner rather than later.

More from the Simply Happenings kit

Last month I made up a series of cards using the Simply Happenings Kit (you can see them here), but I didn’t share all of the cards as it would have been a super long post! So here are some more of the cards that I made using this kit, which is fast turning out to be my favourite in the catalogue.

The last one was made using all the left over slivers of designer paper from the kit. I love the diversity of cards that I was able to create with this kit and how easily they all came together.

World Card Making Kinda Eclectic Cards

I had to work in another role on Saturday which was a bit sad as it was World Card Making Day, but that evening a lovely friend hosted a party so I still got to enjoy some inky fun (and best of all she got a free stamp set Good Greetings as well as the normal hostess benefits – there’s only a few weeks left to get your hands on this hostess exclusive so contact me sooner rather than later). However it wasn’t until a day later that I got to make up my RAKs (Random Act of Kindness) to send out for World Card Making Day. I really love the stamp set Kinda Eclectic and saw a card whilst web surfing a couple of months ago and loved the layout of it so I CASEd it from a fellow SU! demonstrator Cheryll S. from the USA.

Anyway I made it up in different colours than she did and then I couldn’t decide which colour combination that I liked best so I made up three different variations all using Crushed Curry and one other colour – which do you like best? The first one was done with Island Indigo.

then with Tangerine Tango.

IMG_7625-2

and finally there’s Baked Brown Sugar and of course the envelopes also had to be decorated.

Don’t forget if you’d like to nominate yourself or a friend to receive a RAK from the next batch of cards I make – contact me as I’d be happy to add you to the list.

Masked heartfelt thank you card

IMG_7569-2

I love the new masks that are available from Stampin’ Up! in the Annual Catalogue, at just $4.95 for two they are a bargain!

This card was made using the heart mask, real red ink and a sponge dauber. The glimmer heart accent was added popped up on a Dimensional and the sentiment is from Fabulous Four. I can’t wait to make some more using the stars, stripes and spot masks.

Happenings Simply Created Card Kit

133329S

I am loving the Simply Created kits that are in the catalogues this year, the most recent one that I have been playing with is the Happenings kit, at just $25.95, it has all the components to make 15 cards – it includes the die cut pieces, background papers, envelopes, glimmer paper, twine, buttons and banners. You get to chose the sentiments and adhesives with this kit which for me was an awesome option as last month as I needed a wide variety of cards.

Here are the cards that the company suggests to create:

Here are some that I created from the kit, using the Perfect Pennants stamp and 2″ circle punch.

IMG_7564-2

With the petite petals and hexagon punches, the six sided sampler stamps and a mini silver brad.

IMG_7565-2

This one used the stamp sentiment from the Hip, Hip Hooray kit.

IMG_7566-2

The final one has the banners stamped in Strawberry Slush ink with the sentiment from Lots of Thanks.

IMG_7567-2I still have more of this kit to make up, but am loving the colours and embellishments included so far!

You can see an alternate video of what to create with the items in the kit here:

Merry Christmas card and matching tag

IMG_7563-2

I love the negative effect that you can get using the Little Letters Thinlets, I created the card and tag using one die cut. The letters were easier to use with the magnetic plate, but if you don’t have it you can use washi tape to hold the letters straight. The new metal snowflake embellishments are so beautiful and really detailed.

IMG_4963-2

Again I created a tag using the cut out letters, I find the best way to adhere the letters is using the Tombow glue.
