National Breast Cancer Foundation Pink Ribbon Crafternoon Tea Fundraiser – raffle tickets

images-10

I currently amidst cutting kits for all the wonderful people coming along to the Pink Ribbon Crafternoon Tea this Saturday and as part of the afternoon there will be lots of games, prizes, raffles etc  to help raise funds for the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to help with the research, support and education that it provides.

One of the raffles is open to people outside the event (as well as people attending) as I understand that not everyone due to time, geography, family, work etc. can come along to the event – so here’s your chance to support a great cause and be in the running to win one of 3 great prizes. Here’s a very bad picture of first prize – it contains a paper trimmer, paper piercer, fabric, buttons, Simply Adorned jewellery, glitter, designer series specialty paper, a triple punch and more!

Tag A Bag Gift Bags

I love simple, lets face it some days simple is a good thing when everything is crazy, but I like simple and pretty not simple and ugly – that’s where the new Tag a Bag Gift Bags come in. These chevron printed bags are available for just $6.95 for 10 or you can bundle them with the Tag a Bag Accessory kit and save 15%.

They look brilliant just folded over with a cute tag made from silver glimmer paper and a sentiment from Hello Lovely – doesn’t a scrap of the new chevron ribbon really make this look awesome?

MG8_7989-3By folding the edges and base a little differently, the above flat bag was turned into a gusseted and embellished with the Tag a Bag accessory kit and Tag It stamp set – love that chameleon!

What would you wrap in these cute bags??

Convention Make & Takes

Goodness I am so behind in my blogging, not enough hours in the day of late – I certainly can’t believe that it’s only 14 Saturday’s until Christmas??? Anyway back in May, for the Brisbane & in July for the Utah Stampin’ Up! Conventions they gave us some ‘make & takes’ in our registration bundle. As a demonstrator preparing kits each week for class I for one LOVE the make and takes as it means I get to play and create without any of the preparation! We got to use the free stamps sets we got with our registration packs Hello Lovely and Gorgeous Grunge, we also got to use the wonderful stamp set Tag It which is the set that donates proceeds to the Ronald McDonald House Charities, for which Stampin’ Up! is now a global sponsor.

These were really lovely cards made using the new in-colours on the whisper white notecards and envelopes – bargain as you get 20 notecards with envelopes for just $9.95 or 50c per card with an envelope, makes for quick and simple in my books! Both cards use some of the This & That Washi tape a really easy way to add colour. The first card uses a highlight of the Silver glimmer paper and a basic rhinestone. The second card uses the markers direct to rubber technique and Dimensionals to draw attention to the special occasion – cute aren’t they?

New Wood Mount cases

The new style wood mount stamp cases are awesome and brilliant for more than just storing wood mount stamps in. The full size cases are just $11.95 for a pack of 4 and the half size ones are $8.95 for a pack of 4 (not available quite yet). They are useful for more than just holding wood mount stamps as well, they are also perfect for holding re-inkers, a stack of cards and envelopes as a gift or many other things.

If you are converting your stamp sets from the old style clam shell ones to the new cases, you can print covers for the full size ones here or half size ones here. Alternatively you can decorate the covers with designer series paper or make your own custom covers with My Digital Studio.

Halloween Banner Simply Created Kit

Spooky_Banner

Earlier this week I posted about the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit and the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit, but there is also a Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit which is super cute and turns the pennants from the other kits into something really special! I know that in Australia we don’t celebrate Halloween to the same degree that they do in America, but I thought this kit would also be awesome for a pirate or spooky themed birthday where you can customise it to have the child’s name on it.

IMG_3688

The pennants are super cute, eyeleted and easy to embellish. You can see a tutorial on making it here:

Of course the Halloween Accessory kit can be used for more than creating a Halloween or birthday banner, the contents can be used for embellishing lots of other things.

You could use them for scrapbook embellishments, card accessories or 3D items like this picture frame.

BigShot magnetic platform is back!

6a00e54f9444b98833019104438104970c-800wi

Woot! Awesome news for you all – the Big Shot magnetic platform is now available to order again (YAY) it was so popular globally that they had +3 months worth of stock sell out in under 3 weeks. Rather than have a massive backorder list, Stampin’ Up! decided to suspend the ordering code for the item until they had sufficient stocks back in all of the warehouses to ensure continuous supply. For those of you who have had a play with the one I got (I ordered on the first day it was available as I had the privilege as a demonstrator of getting to take it for a test run at the national Stampin’ Up! Convention back in Brisbane in May and knew I would use it a lot – no more sticky notes holding framelits in place!!!).

6a00e54f9444b988330192aa89c31d970d-800wi

So as of today you can order it online here with the product code 130658. Any questions or queries please let me know and if you would like to take it for a test drive to see what everyone is raving about I’ll have mine at the next Pizza & Papercrafting night.

Banner Simply Created Kits

There are some exciting new products in the Holiday mini catalogue including the new banner kits. There is the Build a Banner Simply Created Kit which contains 18 pennants, spritzer, twine, alphabet & image stencils. Each pennant is eyeleted and there is no limit to what you can create with them as they are perfect for any celebration.

133507L

Of course if you need to make multiple banners or need more than 18 pennants there is a refill kit called the, Banner Simply Created Kit, containing 18 pennants and twine – these are also great if you want to paint or stamp your own alphabet onto the pennants rather than using the stencils in the other kit.

IMG_3891132699LYou can see how easy it is to create a banner with the kit here:

Of course if you would like to have a themed Christmas or Halloween banner there are accessory kits available for that too with the Christmas Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit or the Halloween Banner Simply Created Accessory Kit.

The pennants are really robust, what special occasion do you have coming up that you would like to use one for?

Stepped Up MDS Cards

There were so many awesome displays at the Make A Statement Digital Tour in Perth recently and I love how many new ideas that the My Digital Studio software sparked in my brain, but at heart I’m a card maker so one of the displays really resonated with me.

This card was made using the Word Play sentiment and the crown from Artistic Etchings – both of these physical stamp sets have now retired, but one of the awesome things about My Digital Studio is that nothing ever retires – stamps, colours, DSP it’s always available, how cool is that?? The card below is 100% MDS and all the embellishments, even though they have a shadow behind them or an overlay which makes them look good, it is a completely flat card.

IMG_5875

This version was very similar, but stepped up with the addition of real pearl rhinestones, ribbon and a vintage brad. The crown is cut and added with a Dimensional and is what I call a hybrid card between traditional and digital creating.

IMG_5876

Here is another version this is the flat totally My Digital Studio version

IMG_5873

Here is the stepped up hybrid version – it has the addition of basic pearls, an antique brad, real ribbon and distressed layers of designer series paper.

If you’d like a free 30 day trial of My Digital Studio you can get it here and if you have any questions about it, feel free to contact me.
