Another of the Easy Events cards with Twitterpated designer series paper, loving the diversity and speed this stamp set allows me to make cards. This snail is SO cute and if you are anything like me I am always notoriously late getting cards in the mail!
I love the Fancy Favor box, it’s so quick to make up a nice gift box or bag, the fancy top was created by cutting a second strip of Raspberry Ripple Cardstock and adhering it behind the Gumball Green box to make it a fraction taller and give a nice contrast to the box. Did you know it’s less than 12 weeks until Christmas!!!
It was done using the new Christmas builder wheels from the Holiday Catalogue – they are so much fun and fast to use that I even wheeled some white tissue paper to match!

I saw this idea on Connie Stewart’s blog recently and loved the idea. I got a clear iPhone case and simply cut a base card stock at 2 1/4″ x 4 3/8″, round the corners, cut out the phone part using a word window punch and decorate!
The important thing is to keep it to minimal layers, adding one of designer series paper would be fine, but you can’t add rhinestone etc as it would make the cover too bulky and likely to fall off the phone! Now you can have a new phone cover every week, to match every occasion!
Stamps: Betsy’s Blossom
Ink: Raspberry Ripple, Summer Starfruit, Gumball Green & Midnight Muse
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Accessories: corner rounder punch, word window punch

There are so many amazing products in the new catalogue it was hard to just find one product to share with you…..amidst all the Halloween products I fell in love with the new Etruscan Elegance jumbo roller wheel and with the aid of some post it notes made this scrapbook page in theme with our recent SU! Regional training event using the gorgeous new Raspberry Ripple card stock:
I always find once I start using roller wheels I am having so much fun I can’t stop so I also made this cupcake box with the new Midnight Muse card stock and window sheet for the top
The box was made using four scallop envelope die cuts with an insert inside to hold the cupcake in place die cut with the framelits:
Of course no stamping project is complete without a card is it?
My general hints & tips for roller wheels include:
stand up as you get straighter lines & more even pressure that way
start rolling the wheel whilst off the card stock to prevent lines showing
start at the corner of the page closest to you and roll away from yourself
if you do not have an ink cartridge in the wheel handle, when rolling it on the ink pad do not roll it back and forth, roll it in the same direction ~6 times to ensure it is entirely inked
always test the wheel on scrap paper first to ensure that your design/words are oriented the right way
If the roller wheel does have a sentiment on it, line up the seam of the roller just off the page to ensure that you get the sentiment over the page in its entirety and not half a word that doesn’t make sense
store the ink cartridges in zip lock bags to help keep them moist
Accessories: Mini Glue Dots, Apothecary Accents Framelits dies, Sticky Strip, mini silver brads, Scallop Envelope die, large oval punch, Dimensionals.
So I hope you enjoyed seeing the roller wheel ideas with the new Etruscan Elegance roller wheel (page 25 of the Holiday Catalogue) now it’s time to hop over to Corina’s blog and check out some more ideas for items in this awesome catalogue!
Here’s a super fun technique that doesn’t require any new toys to do it! It’s called faux metal and I did it using the traditional colours, Crumb Cake on the textured embossing folder, sponging with Marina Mist & Always Artichoke and then finishing off with a light sponging of Early Expresso before adding gold embossing powder.
I love the final effect, the more random and varied the ink application at each layer the better the finished result in my personal opinion. I will be re-doing this technique using Rose Red instead if the Marina Mist as I think that would be a nice combination.
Stamps: Word Play
Ink: Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Early Expresso, Versamark
Card stock: Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, Marina Mist, Early Expresso
I did a card class with the super versatile Easy Events this week, for me it was more about having some versatile card layouts that you could add any stamped image from the set to suit the occasion. Here is one of the four layouts we used.
and another version of it for a birthday rather than a baby congratulations:
See how easy it is to create cards using the same colours, layouts and stamp set that are suitable for a wide variety of occasions! Hint the colours were all taken from the designer series paper – got to love the Stampin’ Up! co-ordination for you and just by using the other side of the designer paper gives you a wider variety of choices to suit the occasion.
Stamps: Easy Events, Curly Cute
Ink: Black Stazon
Card Stock: Whisper White, Midnight Muse, Pool Party, Raspeberry Ripple, Patio Party designer series paper
Accessories: Gold brads, paper piercer, mat pack, Dimensionals, 1 3/4″ circle punch, 2 3/8″ scallop circle punch, blender pen, watercolour pencils

If this is your first stop, welcome, if not I assume you have come here from Sharlene’s wonderful blog (so many ideas – so little time!). I love all the new designer series paper (DSP) in the new Annual Catalogue and one of my favourites is Comfort Cafe – so I knew I wanted to create something with it, combined with how many people I know that are off sick from work/school at the moment this project came to mind:
The labels framelits were ideal for cutting out the opening for allowing the tissues to be pulled out of the pack. The bottom flap you can open to allow the pack to be replaced, it’ be a shame to destroy such a pretty pack! The paper piercing along the Midnight Muse card stock is so easy with the new larger paper piercing template and mat – no more having to move a project half way through piercing it!
I was really excited that French Foliage made it into the new stamp catalogue as well as I love this set and haven’t nearly finished with my ideas for it yet! I was almost tempted to turn this one into a Christmas card, but the new hostess stamp set in the Holiday catalogue seemed to suit the occasion better along with stamps from Tiny Tags.
There are lots of other wonderful new items in the new Annual catalogue, but for now its off to visit Corina’s blog and see what she has been creating. Thanks for stopping by my blog and if you have any questions, please leave me a message!
