The new Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine is now available (still waiting on the mini, both have been delayed due to Covid 19). The Stampin’ Cut & Emboss machine enables you to make precise cuts and detailed embossed images every time. It is simple to store and easily portable, which makes packing for your events a cinch! They come with all the tools needed to get started right away, with magnetic plates and impressions pads also available as optional add ons.
To purchase yours here or you can add it on to part of your starter kit and take advantage of the awesome September joining offer here.
Goodness Spring has heralded an awesome new bonus for joining my Stampin’ Up! team….it’s called the Get & Go Promotion. It’s designed for new team members to be able to host their first workshop, craft event with friends or charge for their first teaching class with minimal stress and preparation.
In addition to all of the normal benefits of joining the Stampin’ Up! family for just $169 and choosing $235 of products (100% of your choice), free postage, business kit for the month of September you also get pre prepared and packaged card kits (including envelopes) to create 16 cards (8 each of two different designs), two stamp sets Queen Anne’s Lace & So much Love and a pack of basic rhinestone jewels.
These are the two card designs that are recommended, but you can of course change them! NB: the ink, adhesive, cutting tool, and clear block for stamping aren’t included in the September promotion, however, these products may be included as part of the Starter Kit product selection.
Of course if you are brand new to stamping or just want to learn more I’d be happy to help you develop your creativity. My team also gets together regularly for in person or zoom meetings, annual craft retreat and more.
I am currently having lots of fun with the Box of Sunshine, I could certainly get used to these kits, but am happy that we at least get them twice a year now! Each kit has everything you need to make 8 beautiful cards including the stamps, ink and adhesive all you need to add is a clear block (I’d recommend the clear D block size as a good universal sized block). Each kit comes wrapped in lovely tissue paper inside the box and this kit was wrapped in lots of bright yellow tissue paper – of course I can’t bear to waste anything and I could have just reused the tissue paper when I regifted the box, but I wanted to use it to make some pretty cards to mail out so I reverted to an old technique that I thought I’d share with you here.
First you put a thin, but even layer of glue all over some white card stock, cut the tissue paper larger than the card stock and scrunch it up and then stick it down onto the card stock. I prefer to use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue and spread it thinly with my transdermal applicator (finger).
When the tissue paper is dry, flatten it all down and then using Versamark and Gold Embossing powder add a hint of gold highlights to the raised areas.
I then use this as backgrounds or elements to make cards with using dies to cut pieces. Here are a couple I have made so far incorporating the Poppy Moments Dies and the Stitched Rectangles dies to give you an idea of how to utilise your new tissue paper – card stock.
The sentiment on this card was from Comfort & Hope with some gold foil centre highlight and the bases are done on the thick Whisper White card stock which I prefer for card bases than the standard Whisper White card stock.
I will share more cards that I have made using the Box of Sunshine kit soon.
When I sent out the new Annual Catalogue back in June to my customers I included a little make & take card project for them, since we couldn’t do a normal catalogue launch in person. Being the new catalogue I wanted to showcase the new in-colors, but it’s against Stampin’ Up! policy to include pre-stamped images, so it sort of limited my options – so this is what I created.
The base was Just Jade card, with a mat layer of Magenta Madness and then a panel of Whisper White that has been dry embossed with the new embossing folder, Old World Paper 3D – I totally love the texture on this folder. Then I added a stitched rectangle from the set of dies and using the small heart punch out from the Dog Builder punch I added a row of hearts in BumbleBee, Cinnamon Cider, Just Jade, Magenta Madness and Misty Moonlight. The sentiment I added was from Comfort & Hope which on the stamp set is a two line greeting, but I needed it to be one line to fit into the Classic Label punch – so I used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write marker and inked up each line of the sentiment seperately and got the sentiment the way I wanted it to be. Of course those making the card kit up at home got to add their own sentiment, but I figured it was a generic enough card to enable people to make it up for any suitable occasion as required e.g. birthday, thinking of you, anniversary or just because (which in my opinion are the best sort of cards).
I’m so excited to share the Box of Sunshine with you today – it’s a limited edition Paper Pumpkin kit (the USA has a monthly paper crafting kit called Paper Pumpkin and last year they released a global one called So Shelli and this is our second global kit). The kit is $37 and includes everything except a clear acrylic stamp block for the stamps – the decision to leave this out meant the price point came in well under the $50 mark, so personally I’m not sad they made that decision.
The kit contains supplies for 8 cards and envelopes (2 cards of 4 designs)
An exclusive stamp set (NB this kit does not include a clear block for the stamp set, but block D is recommended item number 118485 )
One Classic Stampin’ Spot
Paper and crafting materials including, card bases, embellishments, and laser-cut pieces to create 8 cards
8 coordinating envelopes
Adhesive dots and dimensionals
it also includes extra pieces and stickers (including a sticker label) to help you create cards AND a Box of Sunshine filled with treats and goodies to send to a friend.
The treats to fill and regift your box aren’t included, but anything yellow/orange would be awesome – think Twisties, Crunchie bars, Twix, Apricot Delight, Bananas, Lemon Sherbert, Flakes…..the list is long…..about as long as the lolly/biscuit aisle! Of course if you didn’t want sugar to fill the box, think yellow stress ball, yo-yo, t-shirt, scarf – seriously the list is endless.
You can order online here or contact me to place your order that way, but either way these awesome boxes are only available whilst stocks last.
The set cards that you make in duplicate are below – but I’ll be sharing a lot of alternate ideas once my kit arrives!
The 8 piece photopolymer stamp set is below – which you can see is versatile and will help you create for years to come.
Can you believe it’s time for another new catalogue already – I’m still getting my head around all the lovely new things in the Annual Catalogue! However here it is – a new mini catalogue from August 4th 2020 until January 4th 2021.
If you live in Australia and would like a paper copy let me know and I can organise that for you. If you want to check out some of the items in the catalogue in more detail check out these videos below
My favourite new product suite it the Poinsettia Place which you can see more of here:
Plus this year is the first time ever Stampin’ Up! has brought some of last years favourites back into this catalogue – so if you missed out on these items last year grab them now before they are gone! There is no guarantee that they will do this again in the future with other items, so please don’t rely upon it happening again! I am loving that they have brought back the little bells and the Christmas Gleaming Suite, plus a refill kit for the Most Wonderful Time kit.
This catalogue also saw the release of the Making a Difference stamp set, Coming Home, which when you purchase it or the bundle AUD$4.25 will be donated to devoted adoption, foster care & infertility charities in Australia. The stamp set is $31 and the bundle with dies saving you 10% is $81.
Okay I have a wish list to write and a post person to stalk!
Okay so basically I used a super simple cutting template to cut my 6″x6″ piece of patterned paper into three pieces and made three cards to send of to others. Here are some examples of the sets of cards I made using the template:
and a sneak peek using the new Beautiful World stamp set & coordinating designer series paper.
So you can see the layout of the cards is almost identical in each group, it’s a case of cutting the patterned paper, adding a sentiment and some die cut or punched elements and then just layering. The cutting template and instructions is here:
If you want to see my techno efforts then you can check it out here:
If you cut the paper the way the template is designed a full 12″x12″ sheet would give you 12 cards, or a full pack of designer series paper would yield 144 card fronts! The set I made in the above video are here…I was debating colouring the lemon designer paper to make them limes, but thought it might end up a bit too green?
I now have the issue that I have 12 cards (pictured throughout this post) and two full kits to make the Botanical Prints on my desk….so who would like a card or a kit either for yourself or a friend? Let me know via email if you do. Of course if you use the simple template above to create some cards please share them with me as I love seeing what others have made and next time I’ll show you a different way to cut and use your 6″x6″ designer series paper.
I love sponging, it’s no secret that one of the best value items in the Stampin’ Up! catalogue are the brilliant value, for $7 you get 3 sponges, personally I cut them up and attach a tag for easier handling so I get 18 sponges for just $7 at that price I have one sponge wedge for each colour to avoid cross contamination.
I started by stamping the wheat image from Comfort and Hope along the base and then I sectioned off the card in half and started sponging the bottom first with crushed curry and terracotta tile inks. Then I switched the sponging to the top of the card I punched a 1″ circle onto a post it note for the sun and then sponged the same colours to create the sunset. I added the island in black ink and used a black Stampin’ Write marker to fill in the black wheat and base of the card. The card base was Bumble Bee and a panel of Terracotta Tile and Basic Black.
I always start the sponging off the white panel and move it onto the panel in a shoe polishing motion to avoid splotches and keeps the background ‘soft’. I didn’t add a sentiment to this card as I felt it didn’t need it. Told you this was a versatile stamp set!

So today is Stampin’ Up!’s Day of Service – traditionally a day where employees and demonstrators in the company volunteer time to help complete worthy community projects, BUT 2020 just isn’t the same as normal years is it? So this year Stampin’ Up!’s Day of Service aims to make and SEND out cards to help brighten peoples lives…I combined this with yesterdays theme of National Bee Day and created a free 6″x6″ template for you to make 3 easy cards. Of course I was excited about everything and wanted to share that and thus did my first ever FB live video – which failed after 5 minutes as apparently my connection was unstable and I had to redo it….so if you are curious and want to hear me prattle on you can check it out on my FB page or here as my Cherub helped me to upload it to my neglected You Tube channel:
